“Dennis Alexander and His Music—-A Peek Inside the Creative Process”
Over the past 35 years, Dennis Alexander’s music has been a hit with teachers and students all over the world. Composing good educational repertoire for students at all levels often requires an ability to understand the technical limitations of small hands, an understanding of many styles of music, and being able to create pieces that often sound “harder” than they actually are. This session takes you “inside the creative process” and demonstrates some of the features of “student favorites” that make them so accessible to play, as well as fun to teach! You’ll come away with all kinds of new ideas for good, motivational repertoire for students at all levels.
