Tatyana Bayliyeva is a distinguished Russian-trained instructor, soloist, and business owner with an unbridled passion for music. With over two decades of experience in the music industry, Ms. Bayliyeva has established herself as a highly sought-after music educator and performer.

Ms. Bayliyeva’s musical journey began at the age of eight when she started studying piano at the Ashgabat Central Music School in Turkmenistan. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Music Degree in Performance from Turkmen College of Nury Halmamedov and her Master of Music from Turkmen National Conservatory. During her time in Turkmenistan, she performed as a soloist at the Turkmen National Conservatory, Turkmen Music College, Ashgabat Music Schools, and other renowned stages.

In 2011, Ms. Bayliyeva founded the Albuquerque Institute of Music, where she serves as the director and inspires local musicians of all ages and skill levels to pursue their passion for music. The institute offers piano, voice, guitar, strings, ukulele, and percussion lessons, as well as music theory classes, with a focus on individualized instruction.

Ms. Bayliyeva’s students at the Albuquerque Institute of Music have excelled in various competitions, solo recitals, and concerts, and have won awards at numerous local and national competitions, including the Jackie McGehee Concerto Competition, the Dennis Alexander Competition, and the Vocal Artistry Art Song Festival. Many of her students have gone on to win awards in the PMTNM Student Honors Program and the MTNA Performance Competitions at district and state levels, and some have even won national and international competitions, such as the Carmel Clavier Piano Competition (Indiana), the San Jose International Piano Competition (California), and the BMTG Intercontinental Piano Competition (New York).

In addition to helping her students grow as musicians, Ms. Bayliyeva is actively involved in the musical community. She is a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers and serves as an adjudicator for the program. She also holds the position of president of the Albuquerque Music Teachers Association and is the local representative for the Trinity College London music program.

Ms. Bayliyeva’s passion for music extends beyond teaching and performing. She believes in spreading the joy of music and has encouraged her students to share their musical talents with persons of special needs through the Music Connection program, which she co-founded with one of her students. In 2012, the program was recognized by the Prudential Spirit of Community Award in Washington D.C.

Ms. Bayliyeva’s energetic personality and unwavering commitment to music have played a significant role in her success as a music educator, performer, and community leader. Her dedication to providing excellent music education through individualized instruction has helped countless students achieve their dreams and aspirations in the music industry.
